Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school environment Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction to suit varying abilities and learning styles Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct instruction and interventions to students with a range of disabilities and needs Develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Track student progress toward IEP goals and regularly communicate updates to families and staff Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support personnel to coordinate services Employ evidence-based instructional strategies and accommodations Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by school policy and special education regulations Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and parent conferences
