Qualifications & Experience:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification (Ohio preferred) Proven experience working in school-based special education settings Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Skilled in promoting inclusion and adapting instruction for students with a range of needs Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families Experience working with both middle and high school students highly desirable Flexibility and adaptability to support students split between grade levels

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver tailored instruction to special education students in both middle and high school settings Assess student needs and create engaging, differentiated lesson plans Collaborate with educators, specialists, and families to track student progress Manage and update IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines Promote a supportive, positive atmosphere that encourages student participation and independence Address the unique physical and instructional needs presented in an OI (Orthopedic Impairment) classroom
