POSITION

One-on-One Aides

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Valid Educational Aide permit with ESEA Endorsement.

Experience working with Special Needs children preferred.

Must have or be willing to complete appropriate training including Crisis Prevention Training.

Experience working with children in a classroom or educational setting is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of classroom instructional strategies, child development, and learning styles.

Ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.

Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Ability to motivate and engage students.

Patience, flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude toward student learning and development.

Work directly with a designated student to provide academic, behavioral, and social support.

Willingness to assist with special circumstances for students with medical needs

Demonstrate professionalism and the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and the administration.

Adhere to Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators.

Must have a successful drug test

Must have successful BCI and FBI background checks

Must be willing and able to carry out the duties of the job description

SALARY:

Per the Negotiated Agreement

•Position is dependent upon student status remaining in the Girard City School District and the conditions of his/her IEP. (Individualized Education Program)
