Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role as an Intervention Specialist guiding a small group of elementary students in a supportive, self-contained environment. This full-time, in-person position focuses on making meaningful connections with first through third-grade students, with the chance to work with some fourth graders. Take the lead in a Moderate Disability (MD) classroom, providing specialized instruction and personalized support to a group of up to eight students. Successful candidates will demonstrate compassion, adaptability, and expertise in special education strategies. The setting provides opportunities to both lead in a self-contained classroom as well as collaborate through some push-in support, allowing you to make an impact across varied learning environments.
Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with elementary students, particularly those with moderate disabilities Knowledge of IEP development and implementation Strong collaboration skills for working with classroom teams and related service providers Dedication to fostering student growth both academically and socially
