Job Description

Empower elementary students to reach their full potential by providing specialized support as an Intervention Specialist. This contract position is located onsite and offers the unique opportunity to work closely with a small caseload of six students in kindergarten through third grade. With a focus on fostering academic and social growth, youll play a vital role in creating an inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Ohio Moderate to Intense Intervention Specialist License is required Demonstrated experience or understanding of special education standards and practices, especially at the elementary level Familiarity with Cincinnati, OH state and district-specific guidelines for Intervention Specialists Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and fellow staff members Ability to tailor instructional strategies for individualized student growth Compassion, adaptability, and commitment to student success
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized education plans for a caseload of six elementary students (K-3) Deliver direct instruction and interventions in accordance with each students unique learning needs Track and report student progress, regularly updating support strategies as needed Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers Communicate effectively with families and advocate for student needs within the school community Maintain compliance with state, district, and federal special education regulations
