This contract position begins August 3, 2026, and concludes June 25, 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. You'll collaborate closely with students aged 1521 using innovative, self-paced programs that combine academics and career tech training, empowering them to earn diplomas and successfully transition into the workforce. Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

Valid Special Education teaching certification or licensure (Ohio preferred) Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher in secondary schools Ability to develop and implement IEPs and manage documentation Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, families, and students Knowledge of dropout recovery programs and career tech curricula is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

Design and deliver individualized and group instruction based on student needs Develop, review, and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal requirements Foster an inclusive, motivational, and respectful classroom culture Monitor academic and behavioral progress, communicating regularly with stakeholders Support students in developing critical life and career skills for post-graduation success Collaborate with support staff and program administrators to continually improve student outcomes
