Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary-aged students as a full-time, in-person Intervention Specialist. This rewarding contract position offers the opportunity to support learners in a self-contained MD (Multiple Disabilities) classroom, with responsibilities extending to some push-in support for students as needed. The setting is a dynamic, nurturing environment with up to 8 students from 1st through 4th grades.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification with credentials to teach grades 1-4 Experience with MD or self-contained classrooms strongly preferred Deep understanding of IEP development, adaptation, and progress monitoring Ability to collaborate with general education teachers and support staff for inclusive push-in services Effective communication skills for working with families, students, and educational teams Commitment to promoting student independence and functional skill building Flexibility and creativity in classroom management and instructional design
Key Responsibilities:
