9517382-74070 Job Description Take the next step in your special education teaching career with an exciting contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year! We are seeking dedicated professionals to support students' growth and success in a dynamic school environment near Skiatook, OK. Were hiring one full-time severe/profound certified special education teacher (Early Childhood certification preferred, Elementary considered) and two full-time mild/moderate certified special education teachers (Elementary certification preferred). The assignment runs from August 13, 2026, to May 21, 2027, offering a rewarding chance to positively impact students every day.
What were looking for:
Valid Oklahoma teaching certification in Special Education with either Early Childhood or Elementary certification At least 1 year of experience in special education classrooms Passion for creating accessible, engaging learning environments for students with diverse needs Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, students, and families Experience developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Adaptability and commitment to fostering student growth in both academic and social skills Your responsibilities will include: Delivering tailored instruction for students with severe/profound or mild/moderate disabilities Developing, monitoring, and updating IEPs in collaboration with staff and families Creating a safe, inclusive classroom where all students can thrive Working closely with related service providers and general education staff Participating in professional development and ongoing training Engaging effectively with parents and guardians to support student progress This full-time contract role offers the unique rewards of supporting students' achievements throughout the academic year, all within a collaborative and supportive school community.
