Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract role making a difference as a Special Education Teacher serving students at a local elementary school near Chester, PA. This full-time, onsite position runs 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:30AM and 4PM, and is set to begin immediately through June 10, 2027. You'll be delivering specially designed instruction in a dynamic urban education environment, cultivating both academic and social success for your students.
What We're Looking For:
Active and valid Special Education Teaching certification or licensure for current caseload Ability to obtain all required PA clearances prior to starting Bachelor's degree (minimum), necessary for emergency teaching permit eligibility Prior experience working in school settings, particularly within urban communities Mastery in developing and implementing standards-aligned lesson plans using formative assessment and differentiation Proven strength in classroom management and positive behavior intervention strategies Reliable transportation for daily commute Comfortable working exclusively onsite for the full school day schedule
