Qualifications & Experience:

Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher Previous experience teaching or supporting students with diverse learning needs Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Adaptable teaching methods to address varying abilities and learning styles Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and families Strong organizational skills and a passion for encouraging student growth

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and interventions to students with special needs in accordance with IEPs Assess and monitor student progress, modifying instructional techniques as needed Foster a positive, respectful, and engaging classroom environment that promotes inclusion Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to ensure cohesive support for students Maintain thorough, accurate documentation relating to student performance and IEP goals Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development to stay informed of best practices
