Key Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Special Education for middle school grades Experience working with students with autism preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to create and maintain a positive, structured learning atmosphere Commitment to individualized instruction and collaboration with staff and families
Core Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs Adapt curricula to meet diverse learning styles and abilities Employ evidence-based instructional methods for students with autism Provide a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families Monitor and report on student progress, maintaining thorough documentation Participate in team meetings, professional development, and required trainings
Position Details:
Full-time, contract role: 35 hours per week
Schedule:
