In this dynamic position, you will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), adapt curriculum materials, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure each student's success. Responsibilities Design and deliver tailored lesson plans that meet the unique needs of students with disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum and with developmental disabilities. Develop, review, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with special education law and district policies. Implement instructional modifications and behavioral management strategies to support student engagement and learning outcomes. Utilize educational technology tools to enhance lesson delivery and facilitate literacy, math, communication skills, and early childhood development. Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, parents, and other professionals to coordinate comprehensive support plans. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies tailored for students with special needs. Conduct assessments, monitor progress through standardized testing, and adjust teaching methods accordingly to ensure continuous improvement. Skills Proven experience working with students with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders. Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, instructional modifications, and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher collaboration and interdisciplinary teamwork. Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and early intervention strategies. Ability to integrate educational technology into classroom activities to enhance learning experiences. Experience working in elementary or preschool settings, including private schools or Montessori environments preferred. Familiarity with behavioral therapy approaches and speech therapy techniques to support diverse learners. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in education/ Subject Area Proper valid Pennsylvania teacher certification required. Dual Certified preferred Knowledge of current reading research and effective instructional practices Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
