Job Description
The Special Education Teacher is responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students in Grades 7-12 with disabilities. The teacher will develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP), Pennsylvania academic standards, and the student's individual learning needs. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, families, and other members of the educational team to support students' academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and transition needs.
Required Pennsylvania clearances and background checks. Required clearances must be current and dated within 12 months of the employee's start date.
Required:
Valid Pennsylvania Department of Education Special Education certification appropriate for Grades 7-12.Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.Required Pennsylvania clearances and background checks.
