A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to work full-time on a contract basis, supporting K-12 students in a nurturing, resource-rich environment. You'll have the advantage of focused instruction, as your caseload includes just 2-5 students, allowing for individualized attention and meaningful growth.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification for K-12 Experience working with students with diverse learning needs Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Collaborative approach with students, families, and other educators Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to foster a supportive and motivating classroom culture
Responsibilities:
Develop, adapt, and deliver individualized lesson plans and instructional activities for K-12 students with special needs Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies to address each student's strengths and areas for growth Maintain accurate and detailed documentation on student performance and IEP goals Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure each child's educational needs are met Communicate regularly with families regarding student development and strategies for continued success Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the overall special education program
