Desired Qualifications:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state appropriate) Experience or familiarity with Life Skills, Autistic Support, and Learning Support at the elementary level Strong communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and school staff Demonstrated flexibility for working in varying classroom settings and possibly multiple buildings Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students strengths and challenges Patient, empathetic, and committed to fostering an inclusive environment

Role Responsibilities:

Design and adapt lesson plans to support diverse learning styles and abilities Provide direct instruction to students with a broad range of exceptionalities Implement behavioral and academic interventions as per student plans Track progress and document student achievements and challenges Collaborate closely with general education teachers and specialists Effectively manage the classroom and maintain a positive, supportive atmosphere
