Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Explore an opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of students with unique educational needs for the 2026-2027 school year! We're seeking passionate Special Education Teachers for contract positions across several specialized programs, each supporting learners with diverse academic, behavioral, and developmental needs. Assignments run from August 10, 2026, through June 11, 2027, aligned with the local school calendar. You will work in one of four programs, each providing resources and a collaborative atmosphere dedicated to student success:
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active Pennsylvania Special Education certification (required or preferred based on assignment) Experience teaching in special education settings Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals Strong classroom management and skills in multidisciplinary collaboration Background in Autism Support, Multiple Disabilities Support, Emotional Support, or Behavioral Health preferred Familiarity with evidence-based interventions, trauma-informed practices, and communication supports (AAC, PECS, sensory regulation) is a plus
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver instruction and classroom management tailored to students' IEPs Collaborate with families, paraprofessionals, and related service providers Implement behavioral supports and adapt teaching strategies for various disabilities Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment Support personal care and life skills development as needed Maintain all program- and position-specific documentation
Assignment Details:
