This contract opportunity is perfect for professionals who thrive in virtual settings and are skilled in fostering educational growth and independence for high school learners. The assignment focuses on serving a high school student, delivering targeted support using your expertise as a Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing through virtual services.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) teaching licensure for Tennessee Experience teaching or providing accommodations to deaf/hard of hearing students, preferably at the high school level Skilled in virtual learning platforms and adaptable to digital communication tools Strong organizational skills for managing a minimal, well-defined service schedule Commitment to collaboration with school teams, families, and related service providers
Role Highlights:
Deliver professional virtual services exclusively, with no onsite requirements Provide targeted instructional and support services: 20 minutes, 8 times annually, totaling 160 minutes per year Collaborate remotely with the students IEP team to ensure all accommodations are implemented and goals are met Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state requirements Offer resources and strategies to reinforce communication access and academic participation for the student You will be part of a dynamic, supportive professional network focused on making an impact, even in brief interactions.
