1 day ago Quick Apply A full-time virtual teaching opportunity is available for a specialized educator serving students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. This contract role offers 38.75 hours per week, beginning immediately and continuing through May 28, 2027. The position supports a caseload of approximately 20 to 30 students ranging from PreK through 12th grade, including students aged 18 to 22.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering specialized instruction tailored to the needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Utilizing telehealth methodologies to ensure effective virtual educational services. Managing caseloads with individualized education plans and progress monitoring. Collaborating with families, support staff, and other stakeholders to optimize student outcomes. Maintaining accurate records and reporting according to program guidelines.
Qualifications sought:
Valid credential for teaching Deaf or Hard of Hearing students, covering grades K12. Experience with telehealth or virtual teaching platforms preferred. Ability to manage a diverse caseload of students across multiple grade levels. Strong communication skills to engage with students, families, and professional colleagues. Adaptability to a fully virtual instructional environment. This role is a backfill for a current educator on maternity leave who will not be returning. The opportunity requires dedication to supporting the unique learning requirements of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in a virtual setting.
