Special Education Teacher | Charlestown, New Hampshire

Job Description

Make a real difference for students by supporting special education needs in a vibrant school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This part-time contract position is tailored for a Special Education Teacher eager to provide meaningful instruction across different grade levels and locations. The role runs September 2026 through June 2027, engaging middle and high school students in a focused, supportive setting.
Key Qualifications:
Valid certification in Special Education Experience with Wilson Reading Instruction, particularly at the middle school level Background in delivering individualized and group instruction for students with varied learning needs Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Flexibility to teach in-person or remotely, based on availability
Position Responsibilities:
Provide 5 hours per week of Wilson Reading Instruction to a middle school student Dedicate 20 additional hours per week delivering instruction to students at the high school, charter school, and Montessori school Focus exclusively on instruction, fostering student skill development and confidence Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate regularly with staff and administration Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles This is an ideal opportunity to leverage your expertise in special education and reading intervention to make a tangible impact during a pivotal school year.
