Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by bringing your expertise in special education to a supportive school environment. This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with a caseload of 28 or fewer students classified as having mild to moderate needs. The role is based on-site in Siskiyou County, CA, with the possibility of remote (VOCO) arrangements for the right candidate.
What You'll Need:
Valid Special Education Teaching Certification Experience or passion for working with mild to moderate caseloads Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs Flexibility to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team Dedication to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment
Your Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instruction to support students with unique learning requirements Design and adapt curriculum to promote both academic and social-emotional growth Track student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a holistic approach Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with parents and guardians Engage in continuous professional development to remain current with special education best practices
