Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding journey as a Special Education Teacher in a contract position for the 2026-2027 academic year. Two in-person roles are available working directly with students at the middle and elementary levels, allowing you to make a lasting difference in the lives of young learners. With a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, you'll become an integral part of a supportive educational community.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current state certification meeting all Special Education requirements Demonstrated experience within an educational setting, preferably with middle or elementary students Expertise in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) Commitment to in-person instruction (remote/virtual options are not available for these openings) Ability to collaborate with faculty, families, and student support teams
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver in-person special education services to a dedicated caseload—either middle school or elementary Assess, design, and adjust instructional materials and strategies based on individual student needs Monitor student progress, maintaining thorough documentation and compliance with state mandates Collaborate with general educators and related service providers to foster inclusive educational environments Communicate regularly with families, providing updates and support as needed
