9651610-04092 Job Description Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Resource Teacher, supporting elementary students in 4th and 5th grades near Westbrook, ME. This contract position begins ASAP and runs through June 11, 2027, offering a stable schedule of 32.5 hours per week. Youll work on-site at an elementary school from 7:20 AM to 2:20 PM, with an early student release at 1:10 PM on Wednesdays while teachers continue their responsibilities.

Key qualifications and experience:

Certified Special Education Teacher with relevant state credentials Prior experience in resource settings for elementary grades (4th & 5th preferred) Background in life skills instruction and/or behavior intervention programs strongly desired Comfortable collaborating with general education teachers and multidisciplinary teams Organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities For virtual candidates: capability for 1099 contracting and liability insurance Your responsibilities will include: Delivering differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs Implementing IEPs and tracking student progress closely Adapting lessons in resource settings, supporting both academic and behavioral growth Providing direct instruction and interventions aligned with life skills and behavior support programs Maintaining clear documentation and timely communication with families and team members Leading or participating in IEP meetings and progress reviews On-site W2 contractors can take advantage of a comprehensive benefits package while enjoying professional support and stability.
