Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a lasting impact on students' lives as a contract Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year in Providence, RI! This role is designed for educators who are eager to foster academic and social growth in an inclusive, supportive environment. With a 35-hour workweek, you'll work primarily with elementary school students, either in a resource/inclusion role assisting those with mild-to-moderate disabilities, or in a self-contained classroom setting.

Key Qualifications:

Hold an active Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) Special Education license for Early Childhood, Elementary, or Secondary grades Compliant with the Right to

Read Act:

Already certified in, or able to complete, the Rhode Island Structured Literacy proficiency requirement within one year of hire Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with colleagues, students, and families Experience or adaptability in resource/inclusion and self-contained settings highly valued

Role Responsibilities:
