Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity is available for an Elementary Special Education Teacher passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners. Key Qualifications and Skills:

Active Rhode Island Special Education Certification for grades K-6 Previous experience working in elementary special education or resource classroom settings Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Ability to quickly build rapport with students, educators, and families Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills Comfort with pulling small groups (4-5 students at a time) from a broader caseload (14 students total)

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide targeted instruction and support in a resource classroom, using evidence-based practices Develop, adapt, and implement IEPs in partnership with the broader education team Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture Manage minimal paperwork and maintain compliance with all state and district regulations

Role Details:
