2K Teacher First Presbyterian Church Preschool - Aiken, SC Are you passionate about caring for young children? Do you enjoy working in a nurturing, faith-based environment alongside a collaborative team? First Presbyterian Church Preschool seeks a 2K Teacher to join our loving and dedicated staff. About theRole:
As a 2K Teacher, you'll serve as a co-teacher in our 2K Room, helping to create a safe, warm, and engaging space for our youngest learners, and also provide lunchroom support for our 3K and 4K classes. You'll help plan developmentally appropriate activities, provide essential care like feeding and diapering, and most importantly, shower our little ones with love and attention. This hourly position follows the Aiken County Public School District calendar, including school breaks and holidays.Schedule:
Regular Hours :
Tuesday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PMMondays Off Responsibilities:
- Partner with co-teacher to plan and lead activities appropriate for two-year-olds
- Feed, diaper, and provide personal care in a nurturing and hygienic environment
- Monitor children's development and respond with warmth, patience, and encouragement
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom
- Supervise and support 3K and 4K students in our lunchroom program
- Collaborate with colleagues and communicate with families in a professional and loving manner
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Must pass a background and fingerprint check
- Must provide a current health assessment
- Must complete 15 hours of continuing education per calendar year to meet DSS requirements (training provided and paid for by the preschool)
- Experience working with preschool aged children is a plus
- A heart for children and a spirit of teamwork are essential!
