K-12 (Assignment Dependent) About the Opportunity Our education staffing agency is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and student-centered Special Education Teachers to support students with diverse learning needs across K-12 educational settings. We partner with school districts to place exceptional educators in a variety of special education programs, including inclusion, resource, self-contained, and specialized support classrooms. The ideal candidate is committed to creating an inclusive learning environment, implementing individualized instruction, and helping students achieve academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success. Key Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and objectives. Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and teaching methods to meet diverse student needs. Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to support student success. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and compliance records. Implement accommodations, modifications, and evidence-based intervention strategies. Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment. Support students' academic, behavioral, social, and functional skill development. Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings. Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district special education requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Exceptional Children Education, or a related field. Valid South Carolina teaching license/certification in Special Education or Exceptional Children. Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and IEP processes. Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary educational team. Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs. Preferred Qualifications Experience in inclusion, resource, self-contained, or specialized instructional settings. Familiarity with differentiated instruction and data-driven decision-making. Experience supporting students with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, emotional/behavioral disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and other exceptionalities. Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and positive behavioral supports. Experience utilizing educational technology and progress-monitoring tools. Benefits Competitive weekly pay.
