9667525-29010 Job Description Make a meaningful difference in students lives by providing specialized instruction in an engaging, self-contained classroom serving K-2nd grade learners. This full-time contract opportunity offers you the chance to work onsite with a supportive school staff, guiding young children through foundational academic and life skills.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility) for K-2nd grade students Previous experience working with early elementary students with diverse learning needs is highly valued Strong classroom management and effective communication skills Ability to create and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) within a nurturing, structured environment Compassion, patience, and dedication to fostering a positive learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction in a self-contained classroom for students in kindergarten through 2nd grade Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to each students unique abilities and educational goals Track progress, maintain documentation, and collaborate with related service providers and support staff Communicate regularly with families regarding student achievements and areas for growth Foster an inclusive, supportive space where all students are encouraged to reach their full potential Uphold school policies and participate in school-wide professional development as needed This position is a rewarding opportunity to build strong foundations in young learners and contribute to their social, emotional, and academic growth.
