r41799-29016 Job Description Special Education Teacher Preschool Autism Class We are seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to support preschool-aged students in an Autism Support Program in the Blythewood, SC area . This full-time opportunity is ideal for an educator who enjoys working with young children and creating individualized learning experiences that promote communication, development, and independence.

MondayFriday, 37.5 hours per week

Start Date:

As soon as possible

Contract:

Through May 2027 or with notice of contract completion

Caseload:

Approximately 410 students, with enrollment subject to change as new students qualify

Student Ages:

34 years old

School Sites:

1 Responsibilities Provide individualized instruction based on student needs and IEP goals Create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for preschool learners Support communication, social-emotional, behavioral, and early academic development Implement accommodations, modifications, and individualized interventions Collect data and monitor progress toward student goals Serve as the Special Education Case Manager for assigned students Develop and maintain IEPs, progress reports, and required documentation Collaborate with families, classroom staff, administrators, and related service providers Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment Qualifications Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching certification in the appropriate area Experience working with preschool students and/or students with autism preferred Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences Patient, flexible, collaborative, and student-centered approach Interview Process Virtual interviews available with advance notice If youre passionate about helping young learners with autism build essential skills and reach their individual goals, wed love to hear from you!
