Key Qualifications:
Valid South Carolina Special Education Teacher certification (or pending status) Experience with self-contained classrooms, particularly working with students with learning disabilities (LD) Strong knowledge of IEP development, classroom management, and instructional strategies tailored to diverse learning needs Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive, and supportive classroom culture
Role Responsibilities:
Lead instruction in a self-contained classroom for students with learning disabilities, ensuring tailored lessons and meaningful learning experiences Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), progress monitoring, and assessment practices aligned with student needs Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support staff to promote student success Maintain accurate records and provide timely updates on student progress Participate in professional development opportunities and school meetings as required Foster a safe and engaging environment that encourages academic, social, and emotional growth This is an onsite role, working 37.5 hours per week during regular school hours.
