Job Description

Step into a vital educational role supporting students in a middle school setting for the upcoming academic year. This contract position is perfect for skilled Special Education professionals ready to foster growth and success in grades 6-8. The assignment runs from August 6 through May 28, aligning with the standard school calendar and providing the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of up to 35 students.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with middle school students (grades 6-8) is preferred Comprehensive understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Ability to adapt instructional methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs Strong communication skills with students, families, and fellow educators Competence with inclusive classroom strategies, behavioral management, and collaboration
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specially designed instruction in accordance with students' IEPs Maintain and manage a caseload of approximately 35 students, ensuring compliance and support Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to maximize student achievement Participate actively in IEP meetings, progress reporting, and parent communications Foster a positive, learning-focused classroom environment for all learners Implement effective classroom management and evidence-based therapeutic interventions
