r41785-29206 Job Description Special Education Teacher Behavior Support We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students in a Behavior Support Program in the Columbia, SC area . This full-time opportunity is designed for an educator who can provide individualized instruction, promote positive behavior, and help students make meaningful academic and personal progress.

Caseload:

Approximately 510 students

Student Population:

Ages 1114

What Youll Do:

Provide specialized instruction based on individual student needs Develop lessons and interventions aligned with student IEP goals Support students with academic, behavioral, and functional development Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed Serve as the Special Education Case Manager for assigned students Develop and maintain IEPs and required documentation Collaborate with families, school staff, administrators, and related service providers Establish a structured, supportive, and positive classroom environment Implement strategies that encourage positive behavior and student engagement

Qualifications:

Valid teaching certification in Multi-categorical/Emotional Disabilities (ED) Special education or behavior support experience preferred Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to work effectively with students who have diverse behavioral and learning needs Collaborative, patient, and student-centered approach
