Qualifications & Experience:

Active Special Education certification (or eligibility, including emergency and pending credentials) Candidates in recognized teacher pathways, such as iTeach or Teachers of America, are welcome Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in Autism Spectrum or early childhood special education, is highly valued Strong classroom management skills and adaptability in self-contained settings Collaborative spirit to work effectively with paraprofessionals and multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized instructional support to students in self-contained Autism and Pre-K special education classes Foster a structured and nurturing classroom environment that accommodates varied learning needs and behavioral strategies Develop and implement IEPs, monitoring student progress and communicating goals with families and team members Collaborate with support staff and related service providers for effective intervention and student growth Participate in parent conferences, staff meetings, and professional development as required by the assignment
