Qualifications & Experience:
Valid South Carolina Special Education Teacher certification, or pending approval status. Previous experience working with students with learning disabilities in a classroom or resource setting. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to adapt lessons and teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. Must be able to work onsite during school hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored instruction to students in a self-contained learning disabilities classroom. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students. Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment. Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families. Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed. Participate actively in school meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development.
