Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a full-time contract position as a Special Education Teacher, supporting middle school students in an inclusive setting near Greenville, SC. In this pivotal role, you will deliver high-quality instruction and case management for learners with diverse needs, working collaboratively within the classroom environment to foster student growth and achievement. What we're seeking: Valid South Carolina teaching license LD certification or Multi-categorical endorsement required Previous experience working with middle school-aged students preferred Strong knowledge of special education best practices and compliance standards Ability to provide both push-in support and manage caseload documentation effectively Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Key responsibilities: Provide direct instructional support in general education classrooms, promoting student engagement through co-teaching, small group, and individualized interventions Serve as case manager for assigned students, developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Work collaboratively with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure students' academic and functional goals are met Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records and compliance with state and federal requirements Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and ongoing professional development This dynamic opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact within an inclusive academic environment.
