The vacancy is for the extended resource/self-contained classroom, working with K45th grade students. Your classroom will serve about 812 students with the support of a skilled assistant, crafting tailored instruction for students who are there all day as well as those who join for targeted ELA or math sessions. The assignment spans from July 17 through June 2, offering a consistent schedule with opportunities for significant impact and professional growth.

Qualifications:

Current state licensure/certification in Special Education (or eligibility) Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education or related field Experience working with elementary-aged children in special education settings Strong communication and collaboration abilities Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Provide differentiated instruction in a self-contained/extended resource classroom Collaborate with general education teachers, assistants, and school staff Track student progress and maintain accurate records Communicate regularly with families to support student success
