Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Special education teachers eager to make a positive difference will find a rewarding contract opportunity just outside the scenic Savannah and Hilton Head area. Two new positions are available to support students in a school environment, delivering tailored instruction to help each learner achieve success.
Qualifications:
State certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain) Experience in providing specialized instruction for students with diverse learning needs Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Strong collaboration skills for working with general education teachers, support staff, and families Effective classroom management abilities and a caring approach Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized educational programs aligned to student needs and district guidelines Adapt lesson plans and teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles and abilities Assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed Maintain accurate records for compliance and reporting Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams Foster a positive, respectful learning atmosphere to empower students' growth This contract position offers the chance to work in a supportive school setting and make a tangible impact on students' learning journeys.
