9654783-29063 Job Description Make an impact supporting middle school students as a Special Education Teacher with a focus on behavior support. This contract opportunity is designed for professionals dedicated to providing inclusive education and managing meaningful behavioral interventions for students aged 11 to 14. Youll serve as a Case Manager, working closely with a manageable caseload at a single school site and collaborating with colleagues and families to help each student grow and thrive.

Key Qualifications:

Valid teaching certification in Multicategorical or Emotional Disabilities (ED) Proven experience working with students in special education, particularly those needing behavior support Deep understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance Strong communication skills for parent, staff, and administrative collaboration Effective classroom management strategies tailored to middle school students Passion for fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments

Role Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of 510 students, ages 1114, delivering direct instruction and behavioral support Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to implement best practices Provide behavior intervention plans and strategies when appropriate Maintain regular communication with families, ensuring they are integrated into the educational process Serve as liaison for special education services and participate in school meetings and trainings Uphold all documentation, compliance, and reporting for the duration of the contract
