e2112-57501 Job Description Make a real difference in a childs educational journey as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired. This full-time, on-site contract opportunity involves working 1:1 with a pediatric student, fostering independence and supporting academic goals in a school setting. This position is ideal for adaptable professionals who are passionate about accessibility and inclusion, and who are open to travel assignments.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree (B.A.) required State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired mandatory Experience working 1:1 with pediatric students highly desirable Strong understanding of adaptive technologies and Braille instruction methods Excellent communication skills and collaborative attitude with multidisciplinary teams Flexibility to work on-site for the duration of the assignment
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction and support for a visually impaired student in accordance with their IEP Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure an inclusive, accessible learning environment Adapt educational materials and integrate assistive technology as needed Track and communicate student progress, ensuring educational goals are met Participate in IEP meetings, contributing insights and recommendations for ongoing student success Serve as a resource to staff and parents regarding best practices in visual impairment education Benefit package includes comprehensive health and dental insurance, company-matched 401(k), and competitive weekly pay.
