9592211-38002 Job Description Step into a rewarding contract role for the 2026-2027 school year as a Special Education Teacher. This opportunity is perfect for educators passionate about fostering inclusive, supportive classroom environments. Multiple positions are available across grade levels including Elementary (2 openings), Pre-K, and High School. These are self-contained classrooms, allowing you to play a pivotal role in shaping student growth and development. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 3:00pm, onsite. Youll collaborate with dedicated staff and utilize your specialized training to deliver tailored instruction and manage individualized education plans.

Qualifications and Experience:

Current Tennessee Teaching License 459, 461, or 105 endorsement required CDC (Comprehensive Developmental Classroom) certification Experience as a Special Education Teacher in a K-12 setting preferred Strong understanding of individualized instruction and modifications for diverse learning needs Excellent communication skills with parents, colleagues, and school leadership Commitment to fostering an engaged, positive classroom culture

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Adapt curriculum to meet the wide range of abilities and needs within self-contained classrooms Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding student progress Establish structured routines and implement behavioral interventions as needed Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs Take advantage of a meaningful contract position making a lasting impact on students lives.
