Travel Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
Job Description
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired Experience working with school-aged children (preferred) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Comfort with providing direct, in-person home services Flexibility to adapt as caseload increasesRole Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction to one visually impaired student Conduct two in-home sessions per month (1 hour per session) Monitor progress and adapt lessons as needed Document sessions and collaborate with parents/guardians Adjust to an increasing caseload as neededWhat You'll Enjoy:

Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.
