9670896-37027 Job Description Make a lasting impact as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and extends through May 2027, offering you the chance to empower learners and collaborate with dedicated professionals. To thrive in this important role, youll need: Active Tennessee Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TDHH) certification National certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing education Previous experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to adapt instruction to diverse learning needs Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students requirements Using appropriate instructional strategies, accommodations, and assistive technologies Providing direct instruction and support to K-12 students in a range of educational settings Serving as a resource for staff, families, and the educational team by sharing expertise and strategies Engaging in ongoing assessments, progress monitoring, and data collection Advocating for students to ensure access, participation, and success in the educational environment Youll work 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, collaborating closely with colleagues in a dynamic, supportive setting.
