Desired Qualifications:

Current, valid DOE certification. Skillful in Braille and experienced with assistive technology; familiarity with the Federal Quota program is a plus. Comfortable working with a broad caseload split between elementary, middle, and high school students—including those in general education and multi-disability classrooms. Proficient with Chromebooks and able to adapt to digital tools required by the district. Willingness to complete all credentialing and district fingerprinting requirements. Strong communication and organization skills to thrive in an itinerant, multi-campus role. Prior experience in school settings preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct services to visually impaired students across multiple school sites. Consult with teachers and staff to implement accommodations and modifications. Participate in IEP meetings, documenting goals and progress using TN Pulse. Coordinate schedules and travel efficiently among assigned locations. Support both academic and functional skills instruction as needed. This full-time, 35-hour per week assignment runs from August 5, 2026, through May 19, 2027, with potential part-time consideration based on your availability.
