Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Active, valid DOE certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Familiarity with Braille instruction and assistive technology for visually impaired students (Federal Quota program knowledge is a plus) Experience working with K-12+ caseloads in both general education and multi-disabilities settings Proficiency with digital IEP platforms; experience with TN Pulse preferred Ability to complete required fingerprinting for credentialing Adaptable to itinerant assignments and capable of organizing your daily travel between schools

Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and adaptive support to visually impaired students in general and special education settings Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational teams Utilize and teach assistive technology, supporting student learning with Chromebooks and additional tools Develop and implement individualized lessons, supporting skills both in Braille and technology use Manage itinerant schedules and communicate effectively with multiple schools
