A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

What you can expect:
The simple answer is - there is no typical day! Every day is an adventure. You will be responsible for the care and well-being of little ones including toileting, meals/snacks, rest time, outdoor play, curriculum implementation, and close supervision. Combine all this with songs, stories and silliness and you have a typical day in our classrooms! Monday - Friday Schedule (no late nights or weekends!)
Requested Qualifications:
At least six months of experience in a preschool is strongly preferred. Degree or Certification in a childhood education related field is recommended but not required.
