Qualifications:
Current Tennessee teacher's license with appropriate endorsements
Valid driver's license
5-7 years of work-related experience
Intermediate computer skills
Excellent communication skills
Job Goals:
Collaborate with school staff district-wide to plan and provide behavior-related services and supports for students with disabilities.
Job Duties:
Serve as a consultant to school staff concerning behavioral issues occurring with students with disabilities
Conduct functional behavior assessments when appropriate
Facilitate the development of behavior intervention plans and provide student-specific training to school staff on implementation fidelity
Collaborate with district personnel and school teams to recommend appropriate placements for students with severe behaviors
Assist in training school staff in proper de-escalation, and restraint/isolation techniques
Assist in developing and providing professional development for building-level staff in related field
Address parent, student, teacher, and administrator questions and attends IEP meetings as appropriate
Perform other work-related duties as assigned
