e2112-37064 Job Description Make a meaningful impact working directly with a student as a dedicated Visually Impaired Teacher on a 1:1 basis in a supportive school environment. This full-time, onsite contract role is ideal for professionals passionate about tailored instruction and advocating for the needs of visually impaired children. Travel candidates are welcome to apply, offering a great opportunity to gain enriching experience in an educational setting near Franklin, TN.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree (B.A.) from an accredited institution required Active state certification as Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) required Previous experience with pediatric populations, preferably in a 1:1 or individualized instruction setting Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team environment Proven organizational skills and adaptability for long-term assignments
Responsibilities:
Provide personalized, 1:1 instruction and support for a visually impaired student in accordance with their IEP and educational goals Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to meet individual learning needs Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, families, and administration Monitor and assess student progress, documenting outcomes and communicating regularly with stakeholders Serve as an advocate and resource for the unique needs and rights of visually impaired students in the school setting
