Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference each day by guiding and empowering students with diverse learning needs in a supportive educational setting. This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced Special Education Teacher who thrives working with moderate to severe populations and enjoys a collaborative, caring school environment. In this role, you'll be working with a well-defined caseload of 22 students receiving special education services through IEPs, as well as 28 students supported via 504 Plans. The school is located just southeast of Nashville, offering an accessible commute to city amenities while fostering close-knit connections with students, families, and fellow staff.

What You'll Bring:

Valid Special Education teaching certification (461, Moderate to Severe endorsement required) Demonstrated experience working within K-12 special education settings Proficiency in developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs and 504 Plans Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Commitment to inclusive practices and student growth

Your Responsibilities:

Develop and execute individualized education programs tailored to each student's strengths and needs Adapt instruction and assessments aligned with student learning styles and accommodations Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success Collect and analyze progress data to inform instructional planning and report on student achievements Adhere to all state, federal, and school-based compliance requirements This assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, providing a meaningful opportunity to have a lasting impact on student outcomes.
