Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting middle school students as a Special Education Interventionist. This full-time contract opportunity centers around providing specialized instructional support in a vibrant educational environment. Working Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, you will have the chance to make a significant difference in the lives of students who need your expertise and dedication.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification with either a 144 or 145 endorsement Experience working with middle school-aged children, particularly in a special education setting Strong understanding of intervention strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs) Exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted intervention services for students identified as needing special education support Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's strengths and areas for growth Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to enhance student outcomes Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to maximize learning Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training opportunities Support a positive school culture by advocating for the success and inclusion of all students This contract position offers a structured, impactful schedule and the chance to work with a dedicated middle school caseload.
