Piece by Piece Education Program is a small, individualized education program created specifically for children and adolescents with disabilities. We provide a supportive, structured environment where students can work on academics, life skills, independence, and individualized educational goals while learning at their own pace. We are looking for a caring, dependable, and experienced educator who genuinely enjoys working with children with special needs and wants to be part of a small program where relationships matter. What you'll do: Provide individualized academic support based on each student's abilities and learning needs Assist students with homeschool-based coursework and educational activities Incorporate hands-on learning and real-life activities into the educational day Support development of independence and practical life skills Create a safe, structured, positive, and encouraging learning environment Use appropriate strategies to support students with autism and other developmental disabilities Provide guidance and support with transitions, routines, and classroom expectations Communicate professionally with parents and program leadership regarding student progress and needs Work collaboratively with other staff to support the students as a team Help create an environment where students feel safe, accepted, and successful What we're looking for: Experience working with children or adolescents with disabilities Experience with autism and/or developmental disabilities strongly preferred Special education teaching experience preferred A degree in education, special education, psychology, or a related field is preferred but not required for the right candidate Patience, flexibility, reliability, and strong communication skills Ability to remain calm and supportive when working with challenging behaviors or unexpected situations A genuine passion for helping children with special needs learn and grow Ability to work independently while also being a strong team member Must be dependable and able to commit to the Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule This position may be a great fit for someone who: Has worked in special education or an autism-support setting Is a former teacher or paraprofessional Has experience providing behavioral or developmental support Is looking for a smaller, more individualized educational environment Wants the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with a small group of students rather than manage a large traditional classroom About Piece by

Part-time W-2 position

Growth Opportunity:

As Piece by Piece grows, we anticipate expanding our program and increasing staff hours. This position has the potential to grow into additional hours and potentially a full-time position as enrollment increases.
