Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher in a well-respected educational setting near Somerville, TN. Youll play a vital role assisting students in either elementary (K5) or Pre-K self-contained classrooms, making a real difference in their academic journey. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours each week, Monday through Friday, and will run from the start date as soon as possible through June 4th.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Special Education Teaching License for Tennessee Previous experience teaching students with diverse needs preferred Warm communication style and a collaborative spirit Adaptability to work in elementary or Pre-K self-contained settings Strong organizational and classroom management skills Excitement to partner with families and school staff for student success

What Youll Do:

Lead instruction for students in K5 or Pre-K self-contained special education classrooms Design and deliver individualized lesson plans that match student learning goals Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment Track and report progress for students individual education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff Communicate regularly with families about student progress
